Agatha Awards

The Andrew Carnegie Medals for Excellence in Fiction and Nonfiction, awarded by the American Library Association since 2012, honor the best fiction and nonfiction books for adult readers published in the United States.

Coretta Scott King Award

The Coretta Scott King Book Awards, presented annually by the American Library Association since 1970, honor African American authors and illustrators of outstanding books for children and young adults.

Costa Book Awards

The Costa Book Awards (formerly Whitbread Book Awards) were presented annually from 1971 to 2019, honoring outstanding books in five categories: Novel, First Novel, Biography, Poetry, and Children’s Book. A Book of the Year was also chosen from the category winners.

Edgar Awards

The Edgar Awards, presented by the Mystery Writers of America since 1946, honor the best in mystery fiction, nonfiction, and media. Named after Edgar Allan Poe, they are the most prestigious awards in the mystery genre.

Giller Prize
